Idaman Unggul Berhad was incorporated in Malaysia on 22 October 1993 as Idaman Unggul Sdn Bhd, a private company limited by shares.
Upon completion of the proposed restructuring exercise of Idris Hydraulic (Malaysia) Bhd, Idaman Unggul Berhad assumed the listing status of Idris Hydraulic (Malaysia) Bhd and be principally involved in the insurance business through its wholly-owned subsidiary of Tahan Insurance Malaysia Berhad. Idaman Unggul Berhad was listed on the Main Board of the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 20 November 2003.
It falls within the ambit of Amended PN17/2005 in February 2008. Despite various efforts to uplift Idaman Unggul Berhad from Amended PN17, Bursa Securities had decided to de-list Idaman Unggul Berhad from the Official List of the Main Board on 23 December 2009.
The authorized share capital of Idaman Unggul Berhad is RM1,000,000,000 divided into 1,000,000,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each. The total issued and paid-up stands of RM412,948,410.
